Established in Strand, Western Cape, Strand Athletics Club has proudly grown into the largest running club in the Helderberg region. Our nearly 300-strong membership is a diverse community bonded by a shared passion for running and camaraderie.
We organise and participate in various running disciplines:
Strand Athletics Club proudly hosts events like the popular Falsebay 50, attracting runners from across South Africa. We also run the unofficial “Tour de Helderberg”, a tough six-stage club competition held over seven days in October/November, testing members both mentally and physically.
We are affiliated with Western Province Athletics and Athletics South Africa, actively participating in league and championship events.
Community spirit is at the heart of our club. We strive to create a supportive, friendly environment that welcomes all runners, whether new or experienced.
